Gestures – Flesh

Gestures (flesh), 2020 is a series of three pairs of sculptures crafted from translucent, flesh-toned nylon mesh, with each piece sized to the precise standing scale of the artist’s body. The conceptual inspiration is drawn from earlier work on human genetic chromosome pairs (DNA Series). The geometric rectangular forms are intentionally installed in soft, undulated folds, allowing the environment and gravity to mold them further. This intentional instability ensures the work evolves, presenting a unique configuration in every installation, signifying the ever-changing, unseen bond between a couple.
